Snobs Knobs and Posh Knockers started life in Newcastle upon Tyne as an Architectural Antiques company with work shops for everything from Blacksmiths to Stain Glass. They had accumulated quite a few unusual door knockers and knobs over the years and decided to have them reproduced in an English foundry using the exact same methods employed over the past two hundred years.
The antique door furniture is a very important side of the business as people like original items or those that are not readily available in the open market. They also supply bespoke door furniture where one can in most cases have wooden door knobs made to match their originals.The business is a family concern run by Barry Lawson, his wife and their two daughters who try to provide the quality and service our customers have come to expect.

(1) Antique Wellington Door Knocker
Reclaimed rare cast iron Victorian door knocker. In very fine restored condition. Well detailed clenched fist through which a scrolled bar runs through. The scroll is attached to a loop in the form of a wreath with lions head to centre. This style was first shown by A. Kenrick in their 1840 catalogue. Fitted with new fixing bolt. 6.5/" across x 6" drop. Very Heavy and impressive door knocker. £175.00 plus £4.50 p

(3) Antique Ring Pull Cast Iron Knocker / Handles
Found in old Spanish market. Very unusual to find pair of Original antique ring pull handles / knockers in such good condition with original strikers. Very well restored and ready to grace the largest of double doors. £175 plus £4.50 p & p.

Manufactured to fit mortise or rim locks, in Oak.Beech and Rosewood. This timber comes from managed and sustainable sources. If you have a preference for another hardwood they will try and accommodate you. They are normally fitted with a choice of plain or daisy brass roses and of course wooden roses that will complement the knob. All made to order with approx two week ordering time.
