Hampshire Fare 2009 winnner. Philippa Helsig of Southampton won the 2009 " Win a Potager Garden Design" with Hampshire Fare.

Philippa has a long garden overshadowed by trees, and was trying to grow everything she needed for her kitchen in grow bags and plastic totes. She had only started her small kitchen garden in 2008. Still a novice but very keen to grow more things, she was thrilled to have won this prize. Philippa and her husband wanted very defined areas: growing fruit and vegetables, an area for chilling out and entertaining and they did need a long run of grass for Dirk's archery practice!

We decided to give them raised beds, practical and in along garden they definitely give height and break up the space. The garden will be built over time, by the couple themselves when time permits, as Dirk works on one of the cruise ships as a Chef.
