Landscape Design Portfolio

Intensive Green Roof in Scotland.
The client has built an architect designed contemporary home within a walled garden attached to an estate. The modern house has split levels and the client wanted to enhance this with a green roof design. The design encompasses a brownfield area at the far corner, where it will get hottest and driest to ensure a variety of vertebrates and insects will colonise this roof. A keen environmentalist, the client wanted to improve bio-diversity within the walled garden as well as aesthetically enhance this beautiful site. We have provided a planting plan and construction plans, The roof is a low maintenance to a no maintenance roof - in the first year of planting if the weather gets very dry, some irrigation will need to be provided. The client will install the roof himself in 2011.
